ranking methodologies using color coding versus star system
« on: January 15, 2008, 04:58:09 PM »
I'd appreciate hearing from users of the current PM how they use either the star or color coding system to rank their images. I've always used the color coding as kind of an A-F grading system with tags as a +, but I'm interesting in how others use either colors or stars to rank their images in a clear, efficient manner. Thanks, Paul

Well, I tend to use both. I do use stars to quickly cull tagged (where tagged for me means either |don't delete" or "look more closely") photos from a shoot, ready for photoshop and ftp, and I tend to use the colours as a long-term reminders of good/bad/others/... photos, so I can get back at e.g. competition material, boring photos but for personal memory, or an alternative.

Dunno if it's the best way, I am sure you can think of others...
