Text Invisibles in Caption
« on: February 03, 2008, 01:16:35 PM »
I would like to request a feature that can be switched on and off to display invisibles in the text box for the caption, similar to those shown in word processors. This would allow the user to easily see if there are any doubles spaces or carriage returns that are often missed when working through a lot of images and captions at speed.

I agree wholeheartedly!
Also often if I use theĀ® symbol it turns into > when its uploaded.
Any thoughts as to why?

What character encoding are you using in the IPTC/XMP preferences of Photo Mechanic, and what character encoding is being used to view the images after you upload them?  If they're not the same, then things like that will happen.

BTW, having a feature to show 'invisibles' would not help at all in this regard.
