Adding IPTC fields in Stationery Pad
« on: March 04, 2008, 03:07:10 PM »
Hello,

I am currently testing PM on Mac and was wondering how to customise the fields in the iPTC Stationery Pad.  For example, I often add the Location field to further identify a picture.  On my existing pictures I can see the field in the Info, but can't find a way to add it to photos that are missing.

Otherwise, very efficient app so far.

Press the 'i' button that appears when you move your mouse over a thumbnail.  The IPTC Info dialog will appear.  You can then enter your information into the various fields there.  If you want to apply the same information to several pictures at once, use the IPTC Stationery Pad.

Far more information is available in the Photo Mechanic 4.5.3 manual available here:

Thanks for that.  I actually found what was wrong finally in the Preferences.  I had a box clicked called Use Classic IPTC dialogs and when that is clicked the Location field is not available, but it is available when unclicked.
