Is there a way to select which file types are dispalyed in PM?

I notice that if there is a non-image file in a folder, PM displays it as it as a gray thumbnail with its extension, eg.'txt' in the lower right corner.  Is there a way to select what file types are displayed by PM?

There is only an option to not show unknown file types as proxies.  See the View menu for the menu item.

Somehow I overlooked that menu item.  That is exactly what I was looking for.
