keyword panel
« on: September 02, 2008, 01:01:01 AM »
Hello Kirk,

if I reopen the keyword panel the applying list did not show the keyword I have chosen in the topwindow (PM vs 4.5.3.2).

I'm not sure I understand what you're describing.  Please rephrase.

Kirk,

I open the keywords panel (OPTION-K) and mark a keyword in the list (top-window). This keyword is shown in the bottom-window (applying list). Now I can apply it via <apply to selected photos>-button.
Then I close the panel and open it again (OPTION-K) to apply keywords to some other files.
Again I choose/mark a keyword in the list (top-window), but now this keyword does NOT appear in the applying list (bottom window).
It seems that this is nothing then an adefective appearance, because it is possible to apply the marked keyword pushing the <apply to selected photos>-button.

If I restart PM and open the keywords panel again this phenomenon is gone. After reopening the panel it reappears.

I understand now.  That is a bug in the Mac OS X version of Photo Mechanic 4.5.3.2 and will be fixed shortly.  You can workaround this issue by not closing the panel.  Just move it mostly off screen when you're not working with it.

Yes.  We have already established that this is indeed a bug in the software.  A fix is in the works.

This problem should now be fixed in the 4.5.4 beta version, available in the Announcements section of the forums.
