Difference between the 2 IPTC-Pads
« on: September 17, 2008, 12:57:03 PM »
Hi,

I found out something strange about the two pads(both in classic mode):I select photos, then c+I,write the caption:it looks all nicely in one row or two.I apply.if I then open the I-Pad for a photo via the I-Button,it sometimes looks totally different in 3 or 4 rows with lots of spaces between.Any idea why?It might have been always this way,I just found out a few days ago.Unfortunately I can't upload screenshots.
I use PM 4.5.3.2 on Macos X.4.11

Regards Johann

What is 'c+I'?

Why can't you upload a screen shot?  Use the Additional Options link when you're composing your response to this message to upload a JPEG of the dialogs.

You just need to put some spaces between the words/commas and then the word wrap will be more consistent.  Without spaces the text field has to make hard-break decisions at the extents of the text field's rectangle.  None of this will affect the layout of the data in your files so the issue is purely cosmetic.  The differences in the layout that you're seeing is due to the different widths of the Caption field in the two versions of the IPTC dialogs (IPTC Info and IPTC Stationery Pad.)
