Preview problem

Sorry in advance ... I tried searching but couldn't find anything using the "search terms" I thought appropriate.

I've been using PM for almost 3 years now on this machine and never had this happen.  I did change some cache settings the a few weeks back because it seemed to be slowing down on viewing but, it worked fine until today.

For some reason when I browse files they view no problem:


But when I go to caption I get this:


And when I try to magnify it:


Can someone please give a pointer in the right direction ?

Is the file a CR2 RAW file or a JPEG?

On both Windows and OS X Leopard, I am perhaps getting similar problem, with PM 4.5.3.2. The preview image in IPTC dialog (control-Z or click on the image) is pixelated when zoomed with keyboard or mouse, dunno why. Sorry can't try the beta 4.5.3.3 right now. What it does it the preview in IPTC edit dialog doesn't load the photo, even in zoomed state (ctrl-Z) it just upsizes the small image. Frantisek

What is your Memory cache size?
Once an image does this, does restarting PM make the problem go away or does it persist?
