I've never felt the need to be compensated for assisting another photographer with finding a solution to a software or equipment problem. What goes around comes around.
My clients don't expect me to pay them for referring somebody to me.
To me each new customer helps keep the companies I use afloat in these difficult times, and in the case of Camerabits this includes their being able to continue to offer such great support and regular updates of PhotoMechanic.
And no, they haven't paid me to say that !
