nikon coolscan LS IV nef file support?

I've just bitten the bullet and decided to scan all my old 35mm color negs... but PM shows "unsupported file varient" when I ingest them.

Is this a supported NEF variant? and I'm doing something wrong, or do I need to switch to TIF?
