Variables not being replaced in FTP log

My photos are uploading into the FTP Destination path accordingly with the variables I've set...  no problem there..
However, the LOG files show the actual variable tags, rather than the true destination.. 

Here's a sample from my logfile (changed the username and ftp address for security)
