variable for capture day
« on: February 25, 2009, 10:12:55 PM »
I believe I have found the variables for all the time variables for capture except day which seems to be either capture day or file creation day and the latter is what is being returned. Is it possible to get capture day and not the file creation day?

Hi Jerry,

If I understand you correctly you need {day} variable for captured day.

Sincerely,
Vlad.

Hi Vlad,

I tried {day} and it is returning file creation day not day shot.  From the description of the variable: "day -    Capture day of photo according to camera or file creation time (1, 2, 3 .. 31)."

To further explain, I am looking at a PSD file created from a Canon RAW hence file creation and day shot differ.

Since your PSD file is no longer an image generated by a camera, Photo Mechanic is showing you the best data it has available to show.

That did the trick Philipp!  Many thanks. It never occurred to try those fields.
