Renaming JPEGs, annotating, etc- lossless?
« on: February 27, 2009, 04:37:30 PM »
I know you can rotate jpegs losslessly, but what about batch renaming and annotating them- does this happen losslessly, or do they get re-saved?  I'm looking to process jpegs from a scanning service which offers jpegs only.  They are large scans (5000x3000 or so).

Thanks, Rick

Renaming, IPTC/XMP captioning, keywording, setting crops, color labeling, tagging, and rating are all lossless non-destructive operations and will not degrade image quality whatsoever.
