Reset rename counter to 0 automatically
« on: March 03, 2009, 07:01:12 AM »
Hi,

First thanks for the loupe and the remove metadata (icc) functions.

One thing. Is it possible to automatically set counter to 0 when renaming? Without having to set it to 0?

Cheers.

Under what conditions?  What would cause the automatic reset?

If I rename in one folder and set seq it renames to a number 1-20 etc. If I go to another folder and choose pics the counter remembers the where it ended in the folder before. Starting at 20. I would like to have an option that it "forgets" the previous numbering and always goes to 0 without having to reset the counter.

Cheers.

Hilmar,

Any thoughts on this Captain Kirk?

Well, it's a feature request.  When we start working on the next major version of Photo Mechanic we may implement such a feature based on feasibility and customer demand.  That's all I can say at the moment.
