Storing Sorts
« on: March 20, 2009, 05:20:38 PM »
G5   OS 10.5.6    2GB

I'll often have 500 or more images in one file. I'll do a partial edit, and want to sort the file based on color code. It takes a significant length of time. It would be nice to able to save this sort.

Is there a way to do this?

Sure.  Make it into an Arrangement.  Select the photos then choose 'Make Arrangement' from the Image menu.

Later you can switch into Arrangement sort or back to one of the other Sorts.

There does not seem to be a Make Arrangement command in the Image menu.

What version of Photo Mechanic are you running?  The ability to make custom arrangements appeared in version 4.5.

It seems to have disappeared in 4.6 which is what I'm running.

Ah. I'm sorry I didn't think to look there. It makes sense for it to be there.

I shall give that a try. Thanks a lot!

I was at a CT ASMP meeting last night, well attended, and PM was one of the door prizes. Good move on your part.
