GeoTagging with AMOD geotagger
« on: May 02, 2009, 10:38:16 AM »
Sorry if this has been asked before.
I saw in 2008 about the Amod AGL3080 GPS Data Logger, PM was developing a way to tag photos with the GPS files.
Is it as easy as download the AMOF files and then Import those GPS coordinates into a PM file. The Coordinates all match based on the times of the GPS and the Camera EXIF data ? ( depending on the offset chosen)
Will the all the RAW and JPEG file all be tagged too?

Using MAC 10.5 and Canon Cameras.

thank you,Gw

You would connect the Amod via USB, load the NMEA file from it into the Import GPS Coordinates dialog, set your time offset and then apply the coordinates to your files.  Yes, both the RAW file and the JPEG would be tagged.

when I look at the images where I loaded the GPS coordinates, the only place I see them is "Set GPS Coordinates or Import GPS Coordinates"
Is there another easier way to see them under File Info ?

thank you

If an image already has GPS coordinates and you want to see them on a map, then right-click on the photo and choose "Show Map..."
