No sorry, they don't work...
Strange. I too use a foreign keyboard and for me it works neither. Nor with the keys that should be [ and ] on the original english keyboard and nor with the ones my foreign keyboard uses to produce [] marks (Alt+8 or 9).
If I change my keyboard settings from Hungarian to US English both my MacBook Pro keyboard and my foreign USB keyboard works as expected (in this case [] keys are between P and Enter keys as I adviced earlyer). Without switching Keyboard language to english it doesn't work.
