Rename on injest - adding 01 to each photo
« on: July 01, 2009, 12:46:57 PM »
When I injest photos, I rename them using the following vars:
{year4}{month0}{day0} {filename}
I have sequence de-selected. IT works, for the most part.
DSC_5747.nef becomes 20090701 DSC_574701.nef
All of the pictures injested have 01 appended to the file name.  Is there a way to stop this?

Thanks
Monty.

FYI
I purchased PM last week.  THe program is great, THanks

It sounds like you may have told PM to always append a digit when renaming.  Check the Files tab of the Preferences dialog under the heading "Renaming resolution".

Otherwise are you sure your filenames are always unique?  When filenames are not unique then digits or letters are appended to keep files from being overwritten.

Yep, I "always append" 01, 02 to "append if needed"

I figured it would be an easy setting that I could not find
Thanks again!
