« on: August 13, 2009, 11:06:21 PM »
Is the a way of removing the formatting that is applied to the ITPC data when coppied form another program?

I have copied data from several diffent emails and it is a cluster of different formats?

I'm not sure I understand what you're talking about.  Can you illustrate with some examples please?

See the attached image.
This was copied from Outlook and when pasted into the field the formatting came over as well.

HOWEVER: What I later found out (after a couple of hours of cleaning up the text), is that the formatting is stripped out as soon as it gets saved.

In order to have features such as an inline spell checker and adjustable font size, the text field is a Rich Text Edit control.  This is why your text looks as it does.  The formatting is not preserved when saving the IPTC data.

There is not much we can do about styled text coming from another application and being pasted in.

I was pre-mature in my original post - After figuring out that all I had to do was save, I was good to go!
