How to configure PM not to access CD drive upon start-up?

Hello,

can someone explain how to configure PM 4.6.1 in order that it doesn't access the CD drive while launching? Sometimes it is better to avoid any noise in some environments, that's why.
System: Mac Book Pro with OX 10.5.8

It is not possible to configure it differently.
