Upload to Photoshelter
« on: September 17, 2009, 02:35:07 PM »
Hi.
I am no longer able to upload to Photoshelter. The fields SEND and other options are no longer active. I have asked Photoshelter and I got this response:

We've become aware that the uploading feature has become disabled in
older versions of PhotoMechanic.  Unfortunately,  Camera Bits no longer
supports your version of PhotoMechanic, so they will not be able to
offer a fix.  Upgrading to a more recent version of PhotoMechanic will
resolve any uploading issues you may have.  Or, you can try another one
of our uploading options.

I am on PM 4.4.3.3 and MacBookPro.

I'm sorry but your version of Photo Mechanic is quite old and is no longer being updated.

The current versions (4.5.x and 4.6.x) work fine with Photoshelter.  If that feature is important to you then an upgrade is in order.  You can purchase an upgrade from our website:

No.  We have no way of disabling features in an application you have purchased from us.  I think it would be criminal to do so.

That said, what likely has happened is that PhotoShelter is no longer supporting the API that your older PhotoShelter uploader worked with.  Since the product hasn't been updated to support the newer API (like the newer versions of Photo Mechanic have) it stopped working.
