I discovered that PM 4.6.2 (latest beta) puts an exra space character before the variable is inserted into the IPTC subject code field with the snapshot (flash) button. When I select any content saved to be inserted it gets a space in front upon insert.

I use Mac OSX 10.5.7. Did not check it on Windows.

I'm not sure I understand what you're describing?  What do you mean by 'inserted'?  Do you mean when the variable gets evaluated?  Or is this just when the snapshot is loaded, the field isn't exactly the same as when you saved the snapshot?
