Just adding my support for a PM Android app or alternatively a way PM can read from an Android and other smart phones. (Especially since Android phones are now outelling iphones in North America.)

Although most of the discussion on this thread is about the wonders of the iPad, in my former life as a news photo  editor, (before I decided to go freelance) there was an increasing tendency among assignment desks to encourage all reporters to take pix with their smart phones, whether Blackberry, iPhone or Android to shoot pix (good, bad or indifferent) and while they might send one back by the phone, when they got back the question was "do you want the rest." And staff or freelance photographers are often told, get a quick pix with your phone and then shoot the rest with the good gear,

I know that dealing with the different smart phone OS is going to be pain, not to mention how Apple is so piicky picky about what qualifies as an app.....but smarter and smarter phones are going to be a factor in the future

Filterstorm takes photos from Photos or via copy. It doesn't do any management.

Is there any update if Apple changed or at least considered the modifications proposed by Camerabits? Any info who sent them some request and maybe any feedback from them?
Working on Mac, OSX, iOS and with some Canons.
Allways shooting RAW.

It is my understanding that no changes have been made to allow applications to directly access camera disks connected to the iPad.

No.  We're fully engaged in desktop applications at this time.
