.psd filenames are red - usually
« on: February 27, 2010, 11:43:51 AM »
I am pretty new to PM. -4.6.3- windows

I have tried but haven't found this: in the Contact sheet, why are many of my .psd file names red? I would like to be able to change that!

Thanks

Make sure you save your PSD files in Photoshop with 'Maximize Compatibility' turned on.  Otherwise PM cannot render your PSD files.

Is there any way to change the alert color (from red)?

No.  Why would you need to change the error message color?

Right now, I have the text box background a medium gray with black text (the overall background is a dark gray). I find it hard to read the red text - I suspect the luminance is quite close to the gray background. Yellow would be a lot easier for example. I can fiddle with values and text color and come up with something that likely will work. I was trying to minimize the backgrounds to make the thumbnails the emphasis.

Of course, I can change the text colors, but I guess they are anchored to what works with red!

But wouldn't you just rather eliminate the issue altogether?  All you need to do is open up those PSD files in Photoshop, and re-save them with the 'Maximize Compatibility' mode turned on.  Then PM will be able to show you what the images look like and you won't have to see red text at all...
