FTP - save copy of transmitted photos - 5 level limit?
« on: February 27, 2010, 10:44:39 PM »
Hey Kirk,

Loving the FTP feature for uploading to my agency... select files, click FTP icon... buda boom, budda bing.  But am hitting a snag telling the uploader to save a copy of transmitted photos in deeper subdirectory levels (ie. User/Media1/Pictures/Submissions/Agency1/ProjectName).  When I do this, the images do get copied, but not where I tell them... only into the 5th subdirectory "Agency1".  Layered subdirectories like this may seem odd, but it helps me backtrack to know what's been submitted (Bulk) and what's been selected (Selects).

Thanks,
Craig

I'll have to investigate and get back to you on this.

Yes, indeed.  Crannog's Backhand of God stout was quite good.

(ie. User/Media1/Pictures/Submissions/Agency1/ProjectName).

Does it need a final / in the path?

Not an option, but a good thought, Sam.  The menu field fills automatically as you click to select a destination sub-directory from the browser tree.  BUT oddly enough, in testing your idea this morning, the copy command worked exactly as advertised, saving my uploaded selection in a directory that was in fact 7 layers deep.  Yet, I did nothing different than before.  What to say... Guess I'll go get the egg off my face and have some breakfast.  Thanks, though!
