Smugmug Upload Errors with 4.6.4 Beta 4

Hi, I just downloaded 4.6.4 beta 4 and I'm getting an error message when I try to upload files to Smugmug

I'm trying to upload to a gallery called Hudson Springs and I get this error message, it's pointing to the wrong location???

Opps sorry I did a Ctrl C in the Upload dialog box and thought I copied the error message, but it didn't.

Here's the error message I get:

Kirk I went to the thread above and tried adding the fix to my HOSTS file and it still won't let me upload....

First I added this to my HOSTS file:

96.6.84.79     api.smugmug.com  and I got the same error message I received before.


Next I tried this address:

173.222.52.79     api.smugmug.com  When I used this address it wouldn't let me connect to Smugmug

Any ideas???

For the record, I'm seeing the same thing today with the beta and Smugmug uploads. I've only recently reopened my Smugmug account, so this is my first attempt, although the Zenfolio uploads are working fine.

I don't think it's DNS, as everything seems to resolve fine. SmugMug API Problem maybe?

Could you install 'dig' on your system and then do a check for me?

I'm getting the same error with 4.6.3.

Previously, I had no difficulty uploading to Smugmug, but now I get this error:

Hey guys I'm Nick from SmugMug.  There aren't any known issues with the SmugMug API right now that would be causing these problems.  I've heard from one user that is having a similar problem.  I'm also able to reproduce it.  I'm getting this error:

I'm on OSX 10.5.8 with PM 4.6.3. 

The problem was brought to my attention on 4/24 and I reproduced on 4/26.  I tried again on 4/27 and could upload successfully with no errors.  I tried uploading again today and I'm getting the errors again and cannot upload anything through Photo Mechanic.

Kirk if you need any additional info from me or want to get in touch with our API developer let me know.  I had him look at this but since you use https for the uploads he couldn't look at the response you're receiving.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for posting.  I was finally able to reproduce the error here this afternoon, and have been able to discover a bit more about what appears to be going on.  (We seem to have two issues: one related to https; the other related to server time-outs if we stall in sending data for about 5 seconds.)

I'll send you a private message on the forums so we can swap contact information.

Found this thread when I ran into similar problems with PM4.6.3.  Switched to 4.6.4 Beta on the outside chance that a fix was in place and wind up with same error:
