Windows ingest behaviour not the same as mac

Firstly I use PhotoMechanic at work on my mac laptop on a day to day basis, currently version 4.6.4.
I'm now trialling the windows version on a netbook that i bought for travelling and noticed that the two behaved differently when ingesting files that aren't displayed by PM. When I recently imgested RW2 and AVCHD lite files (and the AVHCD's related folders) from my lumix GF1 on the mac, all files were renamed as per the ingest settings. On the windows version that i am trialling (I've tried both version 4.6.4 and 4.6.4.1 beta) the ingest process doesn't rename the files that it can't display but does rename the ones that it can. There are a host of files that aren't of any consequence ingested but the .mts video files I particularly wanted to have renamed. The files can however be renamed using PMs rename feature after it has been ingested. I am using the tokens {datesort} and {frame4} in the ingest rename field if that is of any consequence.

Do you have a modern version of QuickTime installed on your Windows machine?

Yep, it's 7.6.6. Installed it a couple of days ago before installing PM. BTW .mts files aren't supported by Quicktime in either mac or PC.

Could you post the directory structure here?

That way we could create a similar structure and try it out on our end.

Could you also tell me what your folder naming strategy was (ie. variables used) and your renaming string?

What were the names of the files on the card at each level of the directory structure?  I don't need the actual files, just their full names with extension.

A thought. Everything in DCIM was renamed but the stuff in the other directories wasn't...

Could you also post a screen shot of the Ingest dialog showing all of your settings?

I Ingested with your settings on my Mac OS X 10.6.4 system and none of the files were renamed.  I didn't bother to test on Windows since the Mac didn't rename the files in the first place.

OK, I'll test my mac ingest again, but I clearly remember having to rename the avchd related files back to their original names so that I could get them into iMovie as a camera archive import.

I guess this potentially begs a slightly different angle, that of ingesting avchd files from camera cards - could they be renamed by photomechanic upon ingest as other movie formats can? I'm not aware of DSLRs using avchd format, but panasonic 4/3rds cameras certainly do.
