Image Cache in Quick Search

Hi, I am running Photo Mechanic version 4.6.5 and I run Mac OS X 10.6.5 on my Intel-based Mac. When I do a quick search, I get good results however I am getting multiple photos from the image cache that are no good for my search. Is there a way to stop image cache results from showing up in Quick Search results? Thanks Laurent

That would be a bug that I'd like to know how to reproduce.  Can you tell me what your search string was, and what the names of the files are that are showing up in the results?

This is also happening here. I did a search in a folder with several sub-folders for a total of 192 images for a file name: DSCN0088 and got (along with 270 others) 0a04af6bf6d14696e566a41a90c9c1#DSCN0088.jpg#0192#d#0#. There was only 1 file in the folder with "DSCN0088" in the name.

Can you tell me what your cache path is?  Open up the Photo Mechanic Preferences dialog, click on the 'Caching' tab and then look for the 'Location for disk cache:' text field.  Copy and paste the path in your reply.

I am the only user but I do have an Admin account set up. I run PM from my "personal" account.

I'm having this issue as well, and it makes the search function almost useless. My search term was "bridge" and here's an example of the search string: /Users/linnrogers/Library/Caches/Photo Mechanic/cache/thumb/37

What version of Photo Mechanic are you running?
