Store session in memory
« on: September 14, 2010, 06:30:59 PM »
I am using Photo Mechanic (v 4.6.4) more and more - especially after adopting the Ingest feature into my workflow.

Fact is, I always have at least a dozen tabs (folders) up at all times - it really has become my "todo" list.

I really like it this way, but it is limiting itself. If I have to reboot, or even just shut my Mac down for the night or week, when I launch PM, I have to open all the folders again. I sort of can do this with the Open Recent command, but that is slow, and it only stores the last 8 folders.

I would love it if PM would restore the last session, similar, I guess, to how Firefox will.

Also, since I use it so much with so many folders, how about allowing two rows (or more) rows of tabs across the top? Then I can keep an eye on my workload.

Anyone else with these issues?

I really like the idea of PM remembering open folders when closing down.

Yes, this would be a great feature, but I'd like to have a simple dialog box at startup that allows for confirmation or starting with a blank.
