New Mac and photomechanic
« on: November 06, 2010, 10:05:47 AM »
I have been using P/M on a pc for two year and last week I fired up a brand new Mac computer. I notified Camerabits about changing the program from pc to Mac.
They sent me the download and told me to go ahead and use the same password.
I downloaded as instructed but I am having a few problems. The icon is on the dock and when I double click it the program opens up and when I go to open up a folder of images only a small number is showing. If I shut down the program the icon will not work unless I double click it and hit "command- n" .
If I shut down the computer  and restart it then the icon has disappeared.
Help

It sounds like you're running Photo Mechanic from the installer disk image.  Copy it to your Applications folder first.  Then run it.

Is there a Photo Mechanic application in your Applications folder?  Is it the latest version?

As I am new to the Mac system I will need some help in understanding their system, when I open up applications the drop down menu shows three references for applications:  Applications--Safari, PhotoMechanic and Mail.  Down below there is Folders-Applications Mac HD, and under that Application Documentations.
So Kirk where should I be installing the program. I have version 4.4.3.3
