is ther a way to import flag picks from other contact sheet?
« on: December 27, 2010, 05:17:57 PM »
Hi,
I have a contact sheet of all raws from a shoot I did today. So I prepared a JPEG copy of all photos from today.
By mistake, I started flagging the jpegs (with MAGENTA - "1" key) of all my picks from this shoot...

The question:

DO I have to start over again on the NEF contact sheet, to flag all my keepers? Is there a way I can import my chosen ones from the "jpeg" contact sheet?

Thanks!

No, just open both folders in a single contact sheet and make sure you have PM set to join RAW and JPEG images as a single item.  You will just need to perform some function to cause PM to update the metadata and the color label will be updated in the NEF files as well.  Applying an IPTC Stationery Pad to an unused field (just clear it) will do the job.

If this is not clear, let me know and I will give you step by step instructions.

Right-Click the parent folder and choose "Open Folders and Subfolders in new Contact Sheet"
After 5 years of absence I restarted the photography.

But, I can't find this option in the right-click menu.

the only option I could find was "open in a new contact sheet".
So I clicked it. The parent fold was openned, but the subfolders inside it are not visible by PM.
Thanks

Open the first folder with any method you like.  Then open the second folder from the Navigator or Favorites by choosing 'Open folder in current Contact Sheet".  Both folders are now open in a single contact sheet tab.
