Syncing raw and jpeg

Is there a way in PM of syncing metadata in a raw / jpeg pair?  The reason I ask is that I sometimes have got out of sync if I change (for example) the colour class of a raw file outside PM, which then complicates sorting behaviour in PM, which is looking at the jpeg.

That can be accomplished with the use of the 'Update IPTC/XMP' command on the Tools menu.  It lets you choose either the JPEG or the RAW as the source.
