Watermark Fonts not working PM 4.6.6 Mac

For reasons that I can't figure out, I'm unable to save JPEGs from PM using certain fonts. This behavior is erratic. Sometimes it works, other times it does not. Right now, I'm using the "Save As" dialog to create JPEGs and I'm unable to use Optima font. The watermark is added to the image using Arial (or similar), even though I've specified a particular font and the "Sample Text" is rendered in the Watermark dialog in that font.

Any ideas?

The font rendering code will fall back to a system font when a desired font cannot be loaded.  PM will try to load the desired font, but if the OS routines return an error during the process then the fallback font is used.

Perhaps restarting your system will help?

It's weird. Some fonts work, others don't. I seem to have better luck in the Export module than I do in the Save As... dialog.
I'll try some different things and report back.

Kirk, isn't this the same problem we investigated a while ago where we found that the font drawing routines used by PM didn't work with certain fonts? Fixing this would take a whole lot of work so was not (yet) done.

Yes, it is the same problem that you had (have) as well.

Right, that means the status is also the same I reckon: too hard to fix at this point in time (future version?). The work-around is to simply choose an alternative font for the watermarks.
