If edit from preview I lose preview

If I edit an image from the right click option the preview is closed and I have to reopen it. Is it possible not to close preview?

No, not in its current design.  The Preview window is really a modal dialog.

In our next major version I will be removing this modality on both the Mac and Windows platforms.
