Lost captions

I just got done captioning 59 images when I foolishly applied the ITPC pad to the photos so I could add my name address etc. Wellof course this erased the captions. Is there any way to retrieve these?

This happened to me also, several times :(

Would a one or two level undo be possible in a future update? (= retrieve the two last IPTC tabs applied)
