PM leaves .PM_lock files back
« on: May 14, 2011, 09:37:23 AM »
I'm running Photo Mechanic 4.6.7b6 on Mac OS X 10.6.7.

Regularly I find files named .PM_lock in my filesystems with 0 byte size. I guess these files are created during normal run and not cleaned up when PM ends.

Are you closing PM properly or is it crashing?

PM is closed properly.

Are you reusing contact sheets, or always opening new ones?

I browse through my directories and doubleclick to open a directory in a new contact sheet. I open 6-8 contact sheets, sometimes I close a sheet, open a new one or two and at the end I close PM.

Giving me a list of steps that reproduces the issue directly would be most appreciated.

Hello, I have no special procedure for the .PM_lock files. I just browse my folders, make some IPTC/XMP edits and afterwards I find new .PM_lock files.

Hello, I just uploaded portrait_orientation_lost.zip to your server. Inside you can see a .PM_lock file (portrait_orientation_lost/after_pm/.PM_lock) created while IPTC/XMP editing.
