Ingest procedure
« on: February 24, 2012, 09:46:28 AM »
Because conversion to DNG during ingest has not yet been implemented in PM, I convert to DNG on the CF card before ingest and then ingest both DNG and RAW files.

What I would like to do is to copy the original RAW files into the secondary(backup) folder on an external drive and copy the DNG files to my working hard drive.

Is this possible without doing separate ingests?

Thanks

Jim

PS I'm not sure how this ended up in Feature Request, it was supposed to go in Support, my apologies.

You should actually never work on your memory card directly. It is slow and what if the card is too full to hold the dngs?

Why don't you ingest the raws to you hd first and then (have PM) convert them to dng at a location you like?

Cheers,

Yes, true, but I'm not a high volume shooter and time is not a factor for me.

Thanks for the suggestion.
