Launch not working as expected
« on: May 21, 2012, 12:25:37 PM »
For some reason this has just cropped up; worked fine before. I have PM set to open Photoshop CS6 for processing. This works for raw files but if I (e)dit a jpeg file, PM insists on opening it with Photoshop CS5, which is still on my machine. On the Mac side I have jpegs set to automatically open in CS6.

Not sure what is happening. As I said, PM was opening jpegs with CS6 until today. I have rebooted system, restarted PM, reset the launch app in PM prefs, all to no avail.

TIA for any help.

Have you checked what settings you have for launching specific file types?

Open up Photo Mechanic's Preferences dialog.  Switch to the 'Launching' section.  Click on the 'Set...' button that follows the text: 'Assign specific editing applications for each file type:'.  See what editor you have assigned to JPEGs.

Thanks Kirk. I did have them set for CS5, but I still can't figure out why I just discovered it. Anyway, sorted now.
