OK so 12MB is too big for your email system; how do I get it to you?

Hmm, your preferences look ok to me at first glance. Hopefully Kirk can find out why it doesn't work for you. It works for me with similar settings (though I have read sidecar first). I'm on a Mac though so perhaps there's a minor difference there?

I'll send you a personal message with the details, but first, do you need to have the "Synchronize Color Class with IPTC/XMP Urgency field" turned on?  I'm guessing here, but I think that may be the culprit.  Try turning it off and see if that makes any difference.  Let me know what you find out.

Yep that was the culprit!  Works fine with that unchecked.  And no, I don't need to sync color class with IPTC Urgency -- at least not knowingly :)

I guess a follow-up question would be: is this behaviour expected even with Sync to IPTC Urgency checked, or is it a bug?  I'm guessing it's a bug because even with that option set, I could set color class to None via the thumbnail via, so it's not like it was impossible to do.

Guess I no longer need to send a NEF?

I'd say it's a bug.  The IPTC Urgency field isn't getting updated when you're setting the Color Class to none and it takes precedence over the XMP Label field in this case.

Hmm, this bug was fixed for me a while back already. Strange to see it is there again (thouh it still works fine for me on OS X)

Kirk,

Is this still on the to-do list to fix?

Did you try RC2?

Applying color class None via the Stationery Pad is working for me now, in the public release v5.

EDIT: actually, no it is not!  Or at least, it is working on some NEFs, but not others.  I will send two NEFs to you Kirk to see what you can make of it.  Setting color to None works on one, but not the other.  Maybe it has something to do with whether the color class has been changed in NX2.

Thanks,

Mike
