Settings for best speed in PM5

Hi Kirk,

with the upgrade to PM5 I deleted my prefs. Now I see a couple of times the beach ball while browsing the 5D MK3 RAWs.

I am on a mac with 10.7.4 - 3,4 GH i7 Iamc - 16 gig RAM and the main drive is a SSD and the cache is on it !

What are the best settings !

Dirk,

The most important thing would be to make sure that in the RAW section of the Preferences dialog that you're using JPEG previews instead of rendering RAW.

Hi Kirk, these are my settings ! Anything else what I can do to get rid of the beach ball ! The beach ball is showing up an then I have to wait for 10 seconds !
