Slow Apply to Selected
« on: September 10, 2012, 02:25:33 PM »
Using PM5, Mac and Lion. Should it take a minute and a half to add three words to a batch of 342 files using Apply to Selected and this is after restarting the machine twice; otherwise, it was waiting longer than five minutes and two Force Quits.

Where are the images located?  On a local hard drive?  A server?  A camera card?
What kind of images are they?

They are JPEGs on the 2-year-old MacBook Pro.

It shouldn't ever take that long on a set of local JPEGs.  Is your IPTC Stationery Pad complicated?  Do you have variables that use code replacements?

That particular caption had no code replacement and I'm doing the captioning on my local drive before moving the images to an external. I have a ton more to do so will keep an eye on things and let you know. Most folders have anywhere from 300-1000 files, most of them NEFs. The code replacements have been working well. But I only do 7-10 images at a time. Thanks for the quick response as usual!
