Import RAW from Canon 7D - noob

i just downloaded a trial version and cannot figure out how to import my photos directly from the camera. I can do it via a card reader but i'd rather do it direct from the camera. Is there a way to do this?

I'm running windows 7 ultimate 64-bit and photo mechanic trial ver 5.

You need to use a dedicated card reader.  Photo Mechanic does not download directly from cameras connected to the host computer.
