Aspect Ratio

Hi Kirk!

I'd like to have some kind of "logic" for the (cropped) aspect ratio.
Often it is required to put "vertical, horizontal or square" into the keyword area for some agencies.

What I currently have in my code replacement file and using it with the {aspect}-variable is:

0.67 vertikal
1.50 horizontal
1.00 quadratisch
Will there be an option to either:
a) do some logical tests (aspect > 1.00 = horizontal) or (aspect < 1.00 = vertical)?
b) give PM a new variable that contains the "named" orientation?

It would be far easier for us to add another variable that results in vertical, horizontal, or square than it would be to add a logic system.  I'll talk with Dennis about adding such a variable.

I know this is an old topic, but was there ever another variable added re: the aspect ratio of an image? Something that could automatically insert "horizontal," "vertical," or "square," depending on image?

No, no new variable that evaluates to a word from an image's aspect ratio was added.
