Copy error
« on: March 27, 2013, 09:39:53 AM »
Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help me.

I use Photo Mechanic 5 build 13764 (7b2b451)
oxs Version 10.8.2

I have been using Photo Mechanic for years without any problem. Just recently my company upgraded to Photo Mechanic 5 and whenever I try to copy my images to a folder on my desktop i get this message
" There were error(s) during the copy operation"

I get this message when i'm editing on my card and also when i'm editing from a folder on my computer. The only way I can get the photos into a folder is by dragging them in.

Can anyone help solve this problem?

Have you checked the permissions of your destination folder?  Are you able to create files/folders there?

I have permission to create files and folders. I don't think that is the problem

Are you by chance running Photo Mechanic 5 directly off of the Photo Mechanic disk image?

Thank you Kirk!

I think that is the problem. It's a new computer and I think IT set it up wrong. I'm waiting for the password for IT so I can fix the problem.
