Autocomplete doesnt work with some names

Using Autocomplete to legend soccer pictures, I noticed that a name like El Koutari is not recognized with a three letters choice in the settings. It works only if a choose a two letters settings which is not good enough with long list of similar names. Is there a way this behaviour can be changed

The problem is that spaces are not believed to be part of the replacement, but of course they are. I suffer the same problem, actually present in replacement texts of any size.

From what I understood from Kirk, the problem is in the OS provided code to trigger the replacements. To fix it it would require writing their own code. I hope this gets resolved though.
