FTP Setup
« on: April 04, 2013, 03:57:29 AM »
Hi Everybody,

I'm trying to figure out if it is possible to make PM 4.6.9 use a single FTP transfer for a batch of files, rather than queueing them.

Under normal circumstances the queue works brilliantly and is exactly what I want, but for one client our FTP server is configured to automatically send an email when files are added to a folder.  When I upload 8 files using a non-queueing FTP client (eg Fetch) they get 1 email, but via a queueing one (eg Transmit) they get 8, which is a bit annoying!  I'm desperate to be able to use PM's built in client so I can configure output settings like pixel dimensions and the stationery pad but at the moment it's a bit awkward...

I have tried the 'Disable Concurrent Uploads' setting in the File Uploader dialog's preferences but that  doesn't do it.

Also, if this isn't possible in 4.6.9 but is in v5 please let me know so I can finally justify an upgrade!

Thanks,

Tim

No, there is no such 'batch' feature in PM 4.6 or PM 5.

OK, thanks Kirk - always good to have a definitive answer!  I will see if there is anything else I can adjust in the FTP server set up.
