Improvement suggestion for the "Save, Upload and →" button
« on: November 16, 2013, 02:39:50 AM »
The "Save, Upload and →" button in the InfoIPTC window is a great feature, I also asked for that in the past (maybe you could put it also in the "Classic IPTC dialogs").
You can improve this feature anyway: by clicking on the button we pass directly to the following picture without seeing if the upload started. It can confuse us and make us send the same pic twice or more times. I think it could be better if the "Save, Upload and →" button became "Save and Upload" button, making us stay in the InfoIPTC window of the same picture and adding a send progress bar or icon in it, so that we can see if the upload is working or is completed, without closing the window. And if we want pass to the next photo we can use anyway the "→" button.
Make sense?

The Classic dialogs are no longer being modified for new features.  They're "Classics" to be left alone.  One wouldn't update the "Mona Lisa" would they? ;)

Now that there is a Tasks pane which can be made to be seen at all times, just resize/move the IPTC Info dialog until you can see it.  You should then be able to tell if uploads are beginning and even see which file is currently sending.
