Freezing on Ingest

I've read a few topics about PM freezing or slowing down at various times and have seen various fixes so, I wanted to find out how I could fix my issue.

This just started recently. I ingest two cards at once, ingesting all images but, viewing only tagged images. I cannot work with any images until both cards are completely finished ingesting. Until recently, I was able to sort through images, crop, caption and be ready to save and FTP when the cards were finished. Now, I have to wait until they are done before I can do anything in PM.

Is there something I can do to fix the freezing issue?

I'm using the most current PM build - PM 5.0  Build15077

I doubt that you're experiencing a freeze given your description.  Check your Ingest settings.  There are options to open the destination contact sheets during Ingest or after the Ingest is complete.  You'll want the contact sheets to open as the images are ingested.

My settings are open contact sheet during ingest, it has always been this way.

I'm a heavy user of PM, doing 4-5 sports assignments per week for the past several years. I'd gladly do a screenshot or video if you like. I've shown other photographers while on assignment as well. I get a spinning beach ball  while images are ingesting and as soon as the second of two card readers is finished, I hear my alert tone and one of my images in the contact sheet becomes clickable and I can go about my business.

It is definitely a freeze its not a setting. Unless, something was changed during an update.

I've looked through them and don't see anything that would not allow me to work on images during ingest.

Ok, I'll give them a call tomorrow during working hours. I duplicated the issue twice today and made sure all the settings were correct, so that I could work with the open contact sheet.
