Structured Keywords - images not always found

I have created a Structured Keyword List. If I try and search on three keywords that come from different sub-lists in the structure the image will only be found if the three names are listed in a certain order. Change the order and the image is not found.

Am I missing something or is there a precise order that the Find statement has to be written?

Could you perhaps give me some examples of what the keywords in the images look like and which searches work and which ones don't?  Are you using Search or Find?

Thanks Kirk; attached is a clip of the Family Structure. If I select (in Find) Bex, then Michaela from PMH and Jude from Grandchildren it only finds the photo if I list the keywords in the order Jude, Michaela, Bex

I cannot get the image found at al if using Search?

Could you post a sample image and a screen shot of your settings in the Find panel please? (JPEG format for screen shots is preferable.)

Thanks for the samples.  Eliminate the commas between your names and your Find will match on the image named "02162014-143809.JPG".

That works fine now thank you but the attached Search only finds the JPEG version and not the original RAW image?!

Spotlight, the technology behind the Search panel, does not index XMP metadata properly in RAW files or in XMP sidecar files.

Would Spotlight read the metadata from inside a DNG file?

It might, but the main problem with Spotlight is that it treats XMP metadata as one big block of text and not as individual fields.
