I just upgraded to a new laptop for photo work (Lenovo Carbon X1 Touch). It's got one of those newfangled high-density displays: 2560x1440 packed into 14". Unfortunately there's a whole lot of the Photo Mechanic UI that doesn't handle this resolution well. Here are some examples, although they probably won't seem as bad on a regular-density display:
The above is a screen grab of four cells in the contact sheet. Notice how teeny tiny the stars and the text are. The stars are so small it's basically impossible to accurately click on them.
This is the star and colour class filter bar in the bottom of the contact sheet. It's tough to tell in this screen grab but they are teeny tiny too. They also don't fit the space of the status bar properly.
This is the file rename dialog. Notice how the buttons to actually do the rename are missing.
This is the IPTC Stationary dialog. Notice how small the checkboxes are.
I was able to fight through these issues last night, but they will be an on-going drag as the season starts. Any plans to address these problems in an upcoming release?
Thanks!
Neil
