stop a search in the caption field
« on: January 03, 2007, 06:29:10 AM »
I am running PM latest version on a Mac laptop 10.4.8.

I have started a search by mistake in the caption field of a folder with 12'000 images it takes a huge amount of time and try to kill it as i prefer to search from the spotlight case in the top of the PM window.
But i can't find any other way than to force quite the software which will make me go tru the big folder again on restart.

Is there other way ?

thanks

Denis

The Find (or the Find/Replace) panel does not have a cancel button currently.  Generally those operations are very quick, but with 12,000 images I suppose it could take some time.

I'll look into making it cancelable by pressing the Esc key, or Command-. (for Mac users)

Thanks for your answer.

It would be interesting but not necessary to have this feature.
Better work on the 4.5 version.

bests
